Paul Franklin is a founder of the Greater Charleston Chapter of NAIPC and a principal of Franklin Funding, Inc, an organization focused on affordable housing for lowcountry families. He is also a principal of Franklin & Associates, Inc., specialist in long term care financing. The firms are based in Charleston, South Carolina.
Paul received a BS Degree from Louisiana Tech and an MBA Degree from Louisiana State University. He is a Certified Financial Planner™, a Registered Financial Gerontologist and a member of the American Institute of Financial Gerontology and the South Carolina Financial Planning Association.
Early in his career he held positions in Human Resources at Monsanto and Bayer Corporation prior to founding Franklin Funding, Inc. Paul is a founder and former Chairman of the Board of the South Carolina Aging in Place Coalition, which later became the Greater Charleston Chapter of the National Aging in Place Council, a non-profit educational & referral service for older adults. He is a founder and past Chairman of the Board of the Independent Transportation Network Charleston Trident, a non-profit transportation service for the visually impaired and older adults. He is a former Director of the Mortgage Lenders Association of Greater Charleston and a past Board Member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association headquartered in Washington, DC.
Paul is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Regional Development Corporation and past Chairman of the Trident United Way Achieving Successful Aging Vision Council. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina, a current member and past President of the Rotary Club of North Charleston Breakfast.
Paul participates in a wide range of community events and enjoyed seeing clients like Doris Motely (pictured below) at a fundraiser for a member organization of the Greater Charleston Chapter of NAIPC.
