Who is an Occupational Therapist?
A medical professional who teaches clients compensatory techniques and use of assistive devices to aid in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as safely and independently as possible. OTs help clients learn to offset the effects of disease, injury and aging on their daily lives.

OTs with additional education in home modifications can identify beneficial adaptations to the home environment that match specific functional needs of the client.
