Abby has been working with seniors for the past 5 years with work experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Resident Care Coordinator & Marketing Director of an Assisted Living and Memory Care community. She is currently the owner of Silver Age, LLC, where she works as a Care Consultant.

Brief work experience/history:
For the last 3 years, I have designed and implemented financial plans for those who are in or close to their retirement.   As a Registered Investment Advisor, I am held to a fiduciary standard and must act solely in the best interest of my clients.  In addition, I manage our existing client base of over 100 families with their continuing needs as markets, tax laws, and their own personal situation are continually changing.    Previously I was in branch management at Washington Mutual Savings for 13 years and involved in all aspects of financial planning.

Rod has been making home loans  for the past 39 years and takes pride in securing home financing for thousands of satisfied customers.  Rod made his first reverse mortgage to his parents 5 years ago which allowed them to stay at home and age in the place of their choosing.  They are now 97 and 94 years old.  Educating seniors and their families about reverse mortgages is a passion for Rod.  Seniors on fixed incomes with little or no mortgage balance often feel the only way they can make ends meet and access their equity is to sell their homes even though they desperately do not want to relocate or downsize.  A reverse mortgage may not be the answer in every situation but for many seniors who would prefer to Age In Place a reverse mortgage may be the perfect answer.  Reverse mortgages are now available at no cost on certain products and many changes have been mandated by FHA making reverse mortgages more affordable than ever.
