Adult Day Services centers are a non-residential community-based facility for elders. These centers provide social and some health services to adults who need supervised care in a safe place outside the home during the day. Adult Day Services center operate under a Social (more recreationally centered) or health care (focused on therapeutic and health services) model. While services may vary at different centers, generally, Adult Day Services offer social activities, therapeutic activities, transportation, personal care and meals for the elders.
