If I live to be 100, I am going to travel the world. If I live to be 100, I am going to check everything off by bucket list. If I live to be 100, I will live life on my own terms. We’ve all mused at least one, if not all three, of these statements. But let’s take it one step further. If you lived to be 100 what would you tell a youthful you?


In, award-winning photographer, Paul Mobley’s newest collection of portraits—“If I Live to be 100: The Wisdom of Centenarians”—he pays tribute to more than 50 centenarians across the U.S. who have persevered through world wars, cultural and digital revolutions, and witnessed the commencement of space travel. They have lived through a century dominated by hardships, revolution and resolution. Each portrait is accompanied by a personal story, direct quote or words of wisdom from its subject that invoke a sense of gratitude and deep understanding.


With more than 70,000 centenarians in the U.S. alone, Mobley’s unique assemblage of characters unequivocally evokes the love, loss, hope and grief that are essential to life and have made this generation indomitable.
